What is Split?
Split is an instalment payment service that allows stores to offer their customers the choice of paying in up to 3 equal monthly payments online, in-store or over any chat app.
Who can use Split?
Residents of Brunei, Malaysia and Singapore above the age of 18. Owns a credit or debit card.
How do I use Split?
Shop as you normally would on any of our store partners and choose to pay with Split when you checkout. Check out our store directory to see all of Split’s store partners.

Split is always free for people to use - no interest, late fees, processing fees or any hidden fees.
Is Split’s BNPL service Shariah Compliant?
Yes, Split instalments are officially certified Shariah Compliant by Masyref, a registered Shariah advisory company with the Securities Commission (SC).

What does the certification of Shariah Compliance mean?
After review, Masyref confirms that Split’s business model operates in accordance with Islamic principles. Customers can use Split with confidence, knowing that they are choosing a buy now pay later (BNPL) offering that works in accordance with their religious beliefs.
What is SplitX?
It’s our sub-brand! Split’s buy now pay later service has been officially certified as Shariah Compliant. To serve customers and brands with the sale of goods that aren't Shariah compliant, they can do so using SplitX.
Nothing changes about our instalments with SplitX; customers are able to pay in up to 3x interest-free monthly instalments, with no hidden fees ever.

Payment methods
You can pay with Split using any credit or debit card from any bank. We are working hard to give you additional popular payment methods.
My payment was declined
Please check that you have enough funds in your payment method for the first instalment. After that, ensure your bank is not blocking e-commerce transactions. Note that we currently only accept debit or credit cards from banks - this means no prepaid cards.
Making payments
Your instalment payments will automatically be deducted from your selected payment method. All you need to do is ensure you have enough funds in your chosen payment method.

Can pay early?
Of course you can! If you'd like to pay before your instalment due date, you may proceed to the customer dashboard to perform this action. If it's your first time logging in, click "First-time Login" and follow the instructions to view your dashboard.
Flexible First Instalments
There are buttons next to the first instalment amount. What do they mean?
Our new update allows more flexible instalments. You can now choose to pay a higher amount for your first instalment. Choose to pay more in your first instalment, so that you worry less later.
For example, if your purchase costs RM90, you can choose to pay more than RM30 for your first instalment. With our new updated system, you can pay RM60 for your first instalment and RM15 for your second and third instalment.

How can I adjust the amount for the first instalment?
As simple as a click of the button!
At the checkout page, we’ll let you know your minimum amount to pay for the first instalment, and you can choose to increase the amount by clicking the “+” button. Our dynamic payment system will automatically adjust the amount* for your next instalment(s), and show you the preview of your entire instalment plan.
*You can only choose to increase the amount by 10% increments of your total purchase.

Need to pay more on my first instalment from now on?
Not at all! This is simply a new payment option that you may choose. You can continue to pay in up to 3 equal monthly instalments.
Minimum amount to pay for the first instalment?
Typically, the minimum amount is 33% or ⅓ of your original purchase. However, you may be offered a higher minimum amount based on Split’s credit risk assessment engine.
Can I pay less now, and pay more later?
The minimum amount that customers pay for the first instalment is 33%. You can only choose to increase the amount for your first instalment.
Can I have more than 3 instalments?
Currently, Split only allows customers to choose to pay in up to 3 instalments.
Why is my first instalment more than 33%?
Split’s credit risk assessment engine has insufficient information to evaluate your repayment ability. As such, we can only offer you an instalment plan, with a higher first instalment amount.

Making an account
You don’t need to pre-register an account with Split. Once you have selected to pay with Split your account is automatically created, making it easier for you to make repeat purchases.

How much can I buy?
Split’s technology determines whether to approve a transaction on a case-by-case basis. New users are also only allowed to have one active instalment plan at a time.
Orders & refunds
Need to finish paying before receiving an order?
No, you don’t! Once your first instalment has been successfully paid, our partner will begin processing and shipping your order. If you have any questions regarding shipping. Please contact the partner store directly
Haven’t received order
Contact the store you made your purchase from referring to the order confirmation email they sent you
Where do I request refunds?
Contact the store you made your purchase from and request a refund. Split will process the refund accordingly if the store approves the refund.
I need a full refund
For full refunds, Split will refund the amount back to customer card. This may take up to 7-14 working days, after the store has approved of your refund request.
Does Split do partial refunds?
If the refund amount is more than the remaining instalment amount, Split will refund the amount back to customer card. This will take up to 7-14 working days, after the store has approved of your refund request.
If the refund amount is less than the remaining instalment amount, Split will refund the amount back to customer's Split account in the form of Split credits. Split credits can be used to automatically deduct customers for your next Split payment.

What are Split Credits?
Split Credits is one of Split's refund avenues. If there are any Split Credits in your account, it will be automatically used in your next Split payment.
