Considering Split payments?
If my business offers Split, how does the payment process work?
Customers shop as usual and choose Split as a payment option when they checkout. They will be redirected to Split’s page to finish the payment.
What are your fees?
We only charge a transaction fee- no deposit required and no setup, maintenance or annual fees.
Do you pay us in instalments or full amount upfront?
Split will pay you the full amount and we will handle the collection of instalments every month.
What happens if the customer stops paying you back?
Don’t worry, you will still get the money upfront, so Split is responsible for collection of the remaining instalments.
I have a small business, can I still partner with Split?
Submit the form on our homepage or business page, and our team will assess and reach out to you directly for further action. Businesses of all sizes are welcome to apply, subject to our assessment.
I do not have an online shop but I’m interested in offering Split payments. Do you have an in-store solution?
Yes, reach out to us. Split is available in-store, on chat and in online stores.
Payment systems are important - can I trust Split?

Furthermore, we take data security very seriously & we are PCI-DSS compliant.
How do order refunds work after customers pay with Split?
Via the Split dashboard, and requests will be processed within 1 working day. Customers won’t be able to request directly from Split - they have to request the refund from you and after your verification, we will begin refunding the total cost of instalments that they have paid.
Does Split need to work with my existing payment processor?
No. Split works on its own and we will process the instalment payments for you.
How many instalment plans can customers have?
New Split customers can only have 1, and return Split customers may have more than 1.
Is there a minimum spending limit per order before customers can use Split?
You will decide the minimum before integrating Split.
Is there a maximum spending limit per order before customers can use Split?
Our team would run an assessment with a maximum transaction value and subject it to review every quarter.
How long does it take to approve my customer at checkout?
Instant approval. If your customer is rejected, they can reach out to us and provide additional documents for our manual verification. After our assessment, Split may allow your customer to pay using instalments.
Will some of my customers get rejected by Split?
Yes, and we will either direct them to a different payment method that you offer, or provide an alternative Split payment schedule, if applicable.
What e-commerce integrations do you offer?
Shopify, WooCommerce, API. If your website uses a different integration, and you’re still interested in our services, please reach out to us anyway!
How soon can I get Split integrated on my website?
Within 15 minutes after on-boarding, but some partners might need more time depending on the complexity of your website. Regardless, we have a smooth onboarding process for all our merchants and we are ready to assist whenever there’s a bump.
