Get strong with THESWEATCO.

Published on 5 Oct, Farhanah Hussain

When everybody was stuck at home during the peak of the pandemic, I think a few of us were grateful for having an official excuse of not going to the gym. However, upon being forced to be homebodies, people started to realise the importance of regular workouts, and how it contributes to our mental health.

Wenli and Janine, the co-founders of THESWEATCO., saw that increase in people’s interest in health and fitness, with a huge spike of demand for their resistance bands in early 2020.

After seeing the big demand for their products, they worked hard to perfect their manufacturing process and meet the challenge of supplying such a high volume unexpectedly, without compromising on the amazing quality of their SWEATBANDS.

The story of SWEATBANDS

Are SWEATBANDS different from regular resistance bands? Absolutely! When working out with their SWEATBANDS, you’ll find that they are premium workout gear, with thick, stretchable and elastic fabric.

If you’re thinking about the maintenance of the fabric bands, don’t sweat it. You can give the bands a quick hand-wash rinse under running water with soap and leave it to air-dry. Avoid direct sunlight to prolong the durability!

To choose the right SWEATBAND for you, use a fun emoji guide.
Wood Rose and Camo are the same intensity, so pick your favourite colour!

Opposed to latex resistance bands, fabric bands are often thicker and provide more resistance, perfect for building up a good sweat.

THESWEATCO. got your back and made sure their SWEATBANDS aren’t gonna slip around as you conquer your workout. The rubber grips on the inner band provide a non-slip performance, leaving you all the room to concentrate on perfecting your form and finishing those sets.

Since MCO, the team has continued their wave of success by launching two full collections with Wood Rose, Camo, Red Plum, and Aqua (left to right in increasing intensity).

Building a supportive fitness community

Considering the success of the SWEATBANDS, you’ll actually be surprised that when the brand first launched, they weren’t selling their signature resistance bands. They weren’t even selling anything at all!

Janine and Wenli conceptualised THESWEATCO. as an information-sharing platform to enable the community to support one another’s fitness goals.

The cofounders have known each other since university. Though they went to lead separate paths, the stars manage to align perfectly and together, they realized their innate passions to help people on their fitness journeys.

Janine quips, “We've known each other for almost a decade but we never once worked out together throughout that time. But oddly enough we conceptualised THESWEATCO. after working out together for the first few times ever!”

As they featured resistance bands regularly in their online, it was only natural that they came out with their own line of premium resistance bands.

Start your fitness journey

Getting to the gym or the idea of doing sit-ups can be super intimidating, especially with Abang Macho huffing and puffing at the squat rack. With the goal of restarting the fitness conversation to be self-improvement driven, Janine and Wenli hope to empower everyone to take control of their health.

Get your SWEATBANDS and start a fabulous workout routine. Don’t know where to start? Janine, Wenli and their amazing community will help and support your fitness journey.
